Senex Energy Fit-out

Senex’s Brisbane office now occupies seven floors, providing an elegant and practical workspace that takes full advantage of panoramic city and bay views. To address the company’s growth and evolving business requirements, SHAPE and Architectus collaborated on a workplace relocation that reimagines both layout and function. The design integrates refined details with everyday usability, creating an environment that encourages productivity and highlights the scenery visible from every floor.
The workplace was intentionally crafted to inspire teamwork and foster connections between employees, while also reflecting Senex’s relationship to its broader community and natural surroundings. Architectus reviewed the building’s layout to develop an intuitive circulation system, featuring six linked staircases that unify all seven floors. The design introduces tailored zones and adaptable spaces, such as meeting pods and focus rooms, which allow the office to adjust as needs change and support a dynamic culture of collaboration.
Luxson Illumination, in collaboration with Evolved Engineering, curated a selection of ELS products specifically chosen for their exceptional quality of light. Each luminaire was selected to deliver optimal illumination and superior visual comfort in circulation and flexible-use areas. The Luxient Recessed, Flex Surface Mini, Flex Trimless, and Nightfall luminaires employ advanced darklight reflector technology, precision lens systems, and dual optic designs to provide excellent glare control, uniform light distribution, and a pleasant ambiance in every space. This approach ensures both high visual comfort and distinctive aesthetic character throughout the fitout. The Flex Trimless luminaires allowed for minimal disruption to the feature timber paneled ceiling throughout one of the vertical corridors
