Situated in one of Sydney’s most distinctive heritage office redevelopments, the new MIQ workspace elegantly combines heritage and modern design elements.

Led by Hunter Mason, the workspace strikes a clever balance between the raw, industrial character of the heritage brewhouse and the contemporary necessities of a flexible, dynamic open-plan environment. Thoughtful design and a vibrant color palette were employed to enhance the overall space, which primarily features heavy materials such as brick and concrete.

Lighting plays a crucial role in uplifting the atmosphere. Meticulously designed by Aston, with assistance from Jadecross, the lighting solution incorporates various luminaires and mounting styles tailored to both open ceiling designs and smaller spaces that require dropped ceilings.

The ELS Aus-System UD50 with U diffuser was utilized throughout the workspace, enhancing vertical illumination thanks to the product’s unique U diffuser design. In areas with dropped ceilings, upward illumination provides essential reflected light, especially in spaces with limited glazing and lower ceiling heights.
