Overseas Passenger Terminal

About Project

Architects Lawrence Nield + Partners, transformed an obsolete eyesore into a major urban design focus at Circular Quay Sydney, Australia. The Overseas Passenger Terminal has been a major part of the life of the city since its creation. The current design retains the black steel portal frame trusses of the original 1958 structure, with major additions completed in 1988 in the Post-War International Style.

Peter Tonkin’s competition-winning design, the Overseas Passenger Terminal has been used by some of Australia’s largest corporations and most recognised brands to create memorable, iconic experiences. The sheer size and open nature of the available spaces provides hirers an opportunity to constantly re-invent and re-imagine with prime views of the Opera House and the Harbour.
