SHAPE’s new flagship head office at 155 Clarence Street, Sydney ticks all the boxes.

The brief for SHAPE’s new Sydney office was defined by the question: ‘how do we create a great place to work?’

The project’s main objective was to relocate the NSW SHAPE team from its long-standing home in St. Leonards, to a more agile, efficient and central Sydney location. Working closely with Siren Design Group, the team created a space that cultivates connectivity, productivity, collaboration and the relationships between SHAPE’s people, clients, and consultants. The new space includes open-plan work areas, executive offices and meeting spaces set around a central hub.

As a founding member on the Greenstar Program Shape felt it imperative they practiced what they preached and opted to achieve a 6-star rating and Platinum WELLS rating. Reuse and recycle was a key component of the design. To meet the ‘Responsible Building Materials’ criteria, much thought went into the selection of materials along with the determination to successfully recycle 97% of all construction and demolition waste.

The luminaires used for SHAPE Workplace

Lighting Partner Jadecross working alongside Aston Consulting Group put forward the Luxient surface mount luminaires with low glare reflector in 3500K across the central hub. The luminaires sit perfectly in between the slatted wood ceiling creating seamless low glare illumination throughout the entire space.
